About Newport Polo Club
By the time the sport of polo arrived on Newport’s shores during the Gilded Age in the 1800s, it was ripe with 2500 years of evolution, captivating newcomers as it swept the globe. Newport’s summer sporting set embraced the new pastime, establishing America's first polo club in 1876. A charter member of the United States Polo Association, Newport Polo remains a trailblazing model polo club, hosting the Newport International Polo Series public exhibition matches for the community's enjoyment, supporting philanthropic causes, hosting tournaments, polo club member services, and polo instruction year-round.
Each Saturday in June through September for 31 seasons, the Newport International Polo Series features teams from around the world & from major US cities competing against USA / Newport. Each season brings an exciting lineup of action-packed polo matches, international team debuts, and memorable special events for fun on and off the field, supported by an enthusiastic spectator audience.

Private Venue Rental
Create a singular experience in the Newport Polo Club's Pavilion and polo grounds, offering an exciting destination for those seeking a unique setting for any special event. The private tented club house is available for seasonal rentals with an open format for a completely customized experience.
Available:
- May: 7 days a week (except the last Saturday of the month)
- June - Sept: Monday - Friday
- October: 7 days a week (except the first Sunday, if the preceding Saturday is the last day of Sept.)
Pavilion seats 500, including tented seating for 100 (additional tenting available).

Polo Parties
Entertain your guests during one of the acclaimed matches in the Newport International Polo Series. Spectators are treated to a 2-hour exhibition match with competitors from around the world and major US cities challenging the home team, USA/Newport. Options include reserved field-side tailgate spaces, or private parties in the Pavilion - our centerfield club-house entertainment marquee.
Great for rehearsal dinners, engagement and bachelor/bachelorette parties, customer & employee appreciation events, birthdays, and social gatherings.
Available Saturdays, June - September.
